boysordeath's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- mix cd the mix cd. this is part of the crushcraft. making the perfect cd for someone you like is kind of like when a peacock shows its feathers to another peacock. depending on the stage of the relationship you have to choose your songs carefully. you don't want a song with too many i love you lyrics if you have just started seeing the other person. also there have to be some special significance to a song of two. the magpie by donovan is not a favorite donovan song and i would probably have been more likely to put in hurdy gurdy man, which i consider to be the greatest make-out track of the sixties, but that song came on once in my car when we were driving and it made her laugh a lot, so there it is. i also made a little sleeve insert with the tracklisting over a black and white image of a kitten and two ducks sitting together on a bench in a park. orange and pink paint markered the words "a mix for a lovely lady to:km <3:c" on the cd. written in fancy font with yellow outlining. a hawk and a hacksaw - in the river i was a little unsure if i should put the last song on here. for one it is live and ends with 20 seconds of him talking about the next song. on top of that it is a very lovey dovey tune. but i know she really likes neutral milk hotel and has never heard this song, so i decided to tack it on at the end. i will probably tell her that some of the songs are a bit cheesy, but i like those kinds of songs and hope she does too. tonight we are going to hangout and probably makeout some more. i woke up early and got all dressed up for the occasion. button down shirt with vest and jacket combination. 11:13 a.m. - 2007-09-24 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
